Mitigating the impact of forest insect pests is essential to the sustainable management of the forest resources of Canada. This workshop will examine the threat posed to our forests by spruce budworm, hemlock looper, and other pests of note. Potential ecological, economic and social consequences of future insect population outbreaks and abatement measures will also be discussed.
